Job summary

Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) seeks permanent Highway Maintenance Worker 1 (HMW1) or Highway Technician 1 (HT1) for Montgomery County Moraine Garage on the 3rd shift. Classification depends on minimum qualifications; full-time schedule with 8:00pm–6:30am hours.

You will train for CDL licensure if needed and perform highway maintenance tasks including flagging, pothole patching, guardrail repair, litter pickup, mowing, and snow/ice operations.

Qualifications

• Highway maintenance duties and CDL requirements.
• The role requires Class B CDL with tanker endorsement.
• Overtime eligibility under FLSA; background checks and drug testing policies apply.

Responsibilities

• Make roads safer for the public through maintenance work.
• Attend CDL training if not already licensed.
• Perform highway maintenance tasks: flagging, pothole patching, guardrail repairs, litter pickup, mowing.
• Conduct snow and ice operations as needed.
