Job summary

ODOT in Greene County, OH seeks permanent Highway Maintenance Worker 1 or Highway Technician 1 for full‑time duties in District 07. You will perform highway maintenance and snow/ice operations, with CDL training provided if needed, to improve road safety for the public.

Qualifications

• Formal education in arithmetic and basic English; CDL with tanker endorsement by qualification.
• 3 months of training or experience in basic equipment operation; valid Class B CDL with tanker endorsement.
• Overtime eligible per FLSA; probation for new hires; background and drug testing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Serve the public and keep Ohio roads safer.
• Attend training to obtain CDL licensure if needed.
• Perform highway maintenance tasks: flagging, pothole repair, guardrail repair, litter pickup, mowing.
• Participate in snow and ice operations.
