Job summary

Qualifications

• Highway Maintenance Worker 1 requires formal arithmetic and English literacy; CDL with tanker endorsement is required for certain roles.
• Highway Technician 1 requires arithmetic, reading/writing/speaking English, and a valid Class B CDL with tanker endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Serve the public and maintain Ohio roads for safety.
• Attend training to obtain or upgrade CDL licensure if not already licensed.
• Perform highway maintenance tasks: flagging, pothole patching, guardrail repair, litter pickup, mowing.
• Conduct snow and ice operations.
