Job summary

Modine Manufacturing Company seeks an Operations Supervisor for our data center production facility on the 3rd shift. You will oversee daily production, coach a team, and drive lean improvements to deliver high-quality products.

You’ll collaborate with site leadership, ensure staffing, monitor KPIs, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives while growing into broader leadership responsibilities. This role emphasizes safety, accountability, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical) or related field preferred, or equivalent experience in manufacturing leadership.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or production environment, preferably in HVAC, refrigeration, or related industries.
• Strong motivation to lead, take ownership, and make an impact on production operations.
• Analytical thinking with a drive to identify and implement process improvements.
• Familiarity with chiller systems, refrigeration components, and manufacturing processes is a plus.
• Strong team management, coaching, and problem-solving skills, with a hands‑on approach to leadership.
• Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to work cross‑functionally.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe workplace and delivering high‑quality products.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, and support a team of production employees to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
• Monitor and manage daily production schedules to meet output targets, deadlines, and customer requirements.
• Collaborate with site leadership team with direct responsibility for production team performance and plant output.
• Ensure proper staffing levels and coordinate workloads for optimal efficiency.
• Maintain time/attendance, disciplinary actions, promotion, labor reporting, and other workforce management tasks.
• Identify and implement lean improvements to increase productivity and reduce waste.
• Troubleshoot production bottlenecks with engineering and maintenance.
• Balance workloads and monitor KPI performance to drive throughput and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to improve workflows.
• Participate in mentorship and training opportunities to develop future leaders.
