Construction Material Testing is seeking a trained-operator 3D scanning technician to perform handheld scans (Artec Leo, Eva, or similar) on construction and industrial projects. You will capture data on site, verify it, and deliver meshes, point clouds, and CAD-ready outputs to clients.

You must have hands-on scanner experience, be comfortable on active sites, and willing to travel. Training is provided, with opportunities for growth into lead technician roles or regional positions.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience operating a handheld structured-light or laser scanner on real projects
• Experience with Artec Studio for mesh processing and export
• Ability to read structural or fabrication drawings (CAD)
• Willingness to travel to regional hubs and job sites
• Valid driver’s license with clean record

Responsabilités

• Plan and execute handheld 3D scans before pours and for damaged structures
• Control drift on large objects using reference features
• Verify capture completeness on site before leaving
• Process scans in Artec Studio and export to STL/OBJ/E57 and CAD
• Produce deviation maps and coordinate reports against drawings
• Build scan-to-CAD solids for reverse engineering
• Document capture procedure and chain of custody
• Coordinate access, permits, and safety with site contacts
• Travel to regional hubs as assigned
