Construction Material Testing seeks a 3D scanning technician to operate handheld scanners (Artec Leo/Eva) on varied projects in the California region, capturing data on-site and delivering meshes, point clouds, and reports. You will process data in Artec Studio, verify capture quality, and support scan-to-CAD outputs for reverse engineering and fit-up checks.

You are a trained operator with CAD familiarity, able to read drawings, and comfortable on active construction sites.

Qualifications

• Experience operating handheld 3D scanners on real projects.
• Familiarity with Artec Studio for processing scans.
• Ability to read structural or fabrication drawings.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Willingness to travel to regional hubs as assigned.

Responsabilités

• Plan and execute handheld 3D scans of structures and components.
• Control drift on large objects with reference features.
• Verify capture completeness on site before leaving.
• Process scans in Artec Studio and export formats (STL, OBJ, E57, CAD).
• Produce deviation maps, reports, and anchor bolt coordinates against drawings.
• Build scan-to-CAD solids (STEP/IGES) for reverse engineering and fit-up checks.
• Document capture procedures, equipment settings, and chain of custody.
• Coordinate access, permits, and safety with superintendents and plant contacts.
• Travel to regional hubs as assigned.
