Job summary

Smithfield Foods, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor for the 2nd shift at our North East, MD location. You will oversee receiving, transfers, picking/packing, and shipping while leading a team and ensuring production goals, safety, and quality compliance are met.

You will drive process improvements, manage staffing and training, and keep thorough records and reports. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or related field with 2+ years of experience, and flexibility to work

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or related field plus 2+ years of relevant experience or equivalent.
Experience leading teams, providing training or mentoring to staff.
Knowledge of OSHA Standards, USDA, HACCP and EPA regulations.
SAP, manufacturing software, inventory software and MS Office proficiency.
Willing to work nights and weekends, and travel up to 5%.

Responsibilities

Safety & compliance: ensure all safety legislation and codes are followed.
Warehouse operations: oversee receiving, transfers, picking/packing and shipping.
Team leadership: train, develop, and manage warehouse staff.
Performance & productivity: improve efficiency while maintaining standards.
Reporting & documentation: maintain records and logs accurately.
