Job summary

Smithfield Foods, Inc is seeking a Production Supervisor for 2nd shift in St Charles, IL. You will oversee the production line, ensure safety and quality, and drive continuous improvement across yields and efficiency.

You’ll train and coach hourly staff, coordinate with Ops managers, and manage equipment setup to keep lines running smoothly. Strong leadership and communication are essential in a fast-paced plant environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience leading and mentoring staff or managing a process/project.
• Strong communication skills and problem-solving abilities for complex issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead production employees on the shift and ensure targets are met on time and to quality standards.
• Perform safety and compliance inspections and support HACCP/USDA requirements.
• Track yields, efficiencies, and variances; work with OPS managers to improve workflows and reduce downtime.
• Lead monthly line meetings and daily floor walks to maintain safety, quality and productivity.
