Job summary

Smithfield Foods, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to lead a distribution center team in safe, compliant, and efficient operations. You will oversee receiving, transfers, picking/packing, and shipping, while enforcing GMP and hygiene standards.

You will drive staffing decisions, coaching and development, and ensure on-time fulfillment with quality paperwork. This role requires a Bachelor’s in a related field or equivalent experience and may involve night/weekend shifts and occasional

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or related field and 2+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience acting as a lead by providing training, coaching or mentoring to staff or through managing a process or project.
• Knowledge of OSHA Standards, USDA, HACCP and EPA Regulations.
• Manufacturing knowledge and understanding of yields, plant efficiencies, and operations procedures.
• Knowledge of SAP, Manufacturing software, Inventory software, Microsoft Office Suite.
• Has the flexibility to work nights and weekends when needed; may travel up to 5%.

Responsibilities

• Safety & Compliance - ensure full compliance with safety legislation and approved codes of practice.
• Warehouse Operations - manage receiving, storing, and shipping; ensure accuracy of packing, labeling, and paperwork.
• Team Leadership & Development - lead workforce and identify training needs through reviews.
• Performance & Productivity - refine practices to maximize efficiency and drive continuous improvement.
• Reporting & Documentation - maintain essential records and logs for transparency and compliance.
