Job summary

Smithfield Foods, Inc. in Tar Heel, NC is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to lead a team responsible for receiving, transfers, picking/packing, and shipping. You will ensure safety, quality and compliance while meeting production goals.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or related field and 2+ years of lead experience; familiarity with SAP, manufacturing and inventory software, and MS Office. Occasional night/weekend shifts and up to 5% travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or related field required.
• 2+ years of relevant experience; lead/mentoring experience preferred.
• Familiarity with OSHA, USDA, HACCP, EPA regulations.
• Knowledge of SAP and manufacturing/inventory software; strong MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop warehouse staff to meet safety, quality, and productivity goals.
• Oversee receiving, transfers, picking/packing, and shipping operations.
• Monitor warehouse activities to ensure accuracy of packing, labeling, loading lists, and paperwork.
• Drive continuous improvement, streamline workflows, and enforce GMP programs.
• Maintain records and prepare reports to ensure compliance and transparency.
