Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to keep our fleet in top condition, performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, and ensuring timely repairs. You will read precision instruments, perform welding as needed, and uphold DOT/ICC/OSHA regulations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience as maintenance technician or equivalent education.
• Experience with truck repair and body/frame repair.
• Must provide own tools and be able to read and complete paperwork.
• Must hold or be able to obtain a CDL when required.
• Knowledge of truck systems and electrical diagnostics.
• Ability to follow DOT, EPA, ICC and OSHA rules.

Responsibilities

• Build, rebuild and repair company equipment as needed.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical or other failures in trucks and trailers.
• Read precision instruments and diagnose using diagnostic tools.
• Troubleshoot and perform failure analysis on component systems.
• Weld as needed to complete repairs; maintain weld quality.
• Comply with DOT, EPA, ICC and OSHA regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
