Job summary

Liberty Diversified International, Inc. in Houston, TX is seeking an Assistant Machine Operator II to safely produce quality corrugated products. You will support operators, set up orders, perform quality checks, stack orders, and communicate issues.

The role may involve occasional operation of gluers, stitchers, slitters, and saw machines. The position reports to a Production Supervisor at our Houston facility and requires the ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays, plus the company

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or 1+ years manufacturing experience.
• Ability to perform basic math operations (add/sub/mul/div).
• Ability to read, follow, and/or complete detailed work instructions.
• Must be available to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Support machine operation by assisting with the setup of orders according to customer specifications.
• Assist machine operators during quality checks by inspecting first articles and throughout the order.
• Monitor production metrics to track progress, quality, maintenance needs and downtime.
• Communicate equipment issues to leadership and assist with troubleshooting to maximize efficiency.
• Intermittently assist with minor repairs with maintenance team.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow post order cleaning processes.
• Follow plant safety processes and procedures.
