Job summary

Liberty Diversified International (LDI) in Houston, TX is hiring an Assistant Machine Operator I to safely produce corrugated products. You will support machine operators, set up orders per specs, perform quality checks, stack finished goods, and help troubleshoot equipment in a small team.

This full-time role reports to a Production Supervisor at our Houston facility and requires basic math, the ability to read work instructions, and willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED or 1+ years manufacturing experience.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Ability to read, follow, and complete detailed work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setup of orders per customer specifications and prepare tools accordingly.
• Assist machine operators during quality checks by inspecting first articles and production lots.
• Monitor production metrics to track progress, quality, maintenance needs, and downtime.
• Communicate equipment issues to leaders and assist with troubleshooting to maximize efficiency.
• Assist with minor repairs to equipment in partnership with maintenance.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area per post-order cleanup process.
• Follow plant safety processes and procedures for the machine center.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
