Job summary

Bradbury Co., Inc. in Moundridge, KS is seeking a Saw Operator on 2nd shift to prepare raw materials for roll forming and coil processing equipment. You will read blueprints, set up and operate industrial sawing equipment, and ensure precise cuts while maintaining safety and quality.

The role includes 3:30 pm–2:00 am, Mon-Thu, with 10-hour shifts and 1st shift training. Strong hands-on skills and attention to detail are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and follow blueprints, work orders, and written instructions.
• Basic math skills, including fractions, decimals, and measurement conversions.
• Ability to safely operate manufacturing equipment and material handling equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently while meeting production expectations.
• Commitment to workplace safety and following established procedures.
• Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.

Responsibilities

• Review blueprints, job packets, and work orders to determine required material types, dimensions, and cut specifications.
• Measure, mark, and verify material dimensions to ensure accurate cuts and efficient material usage.
• Set up and operate industrial sawing equipment to cut steel and other materials to precise specifications.
• Inspect completed cuts and verify conformance to blueprint and quality requirements.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting to keep equipment operating efficiently.
• Safely load, unload, transport, and stage materials using forklifts, overhead cranes/hoists, and other material handling equipment.
• Move raw materials, work-in-process, and finished components between work centers and storage locations.
• Properly stack, organize, and store materials to support production flow and inventory accuracy.
• Verify loads are secure before transporting materials throughout the facility.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Cross-train in other manufacturing areas as needed to support production goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
