Job summary

Service Steel Aerospace in Wichita is seeking a Saw Operator to pull, verify, and process materials through band saws and plate saws. You will read work orders, set cutting parameters, and move material with a forklift or crane while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role requires willingness to learn multiple functions, teamwork, and ability to measure and inspect finished parts. Competitive benefits and a 1st shift schedule are offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to learn multiple functions in a complex industry.
• Must work well in a team environment.
• Knowledge of operating band saws preferred.
• Good mathematical skills including measurements.
• Ability to read and use measuring equipment (calipers, tape).
• Experience operating crane/forklift beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate band saws to cut various metals to specified dimensions.
• Read work orders for material specifications and stock dimensions.
• Move material with forklift or crane as needed.
• Input data to set band saw parameters per shop orders and specifications.
• Follow safety and quality procedures and complete quality inspections.
