Job summary

The Bradbury Co., Inc. in Kansas is seeking an experienced manual machinist. You will study prints, set up tools, and operate drills, grinders, mills and lathes to form metal to tight specifications.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints and BOMs, applying precise measurement and math, and following instructions. This role requires reliability, safety, and willingness to work long hours to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• Experience reading prints and job orders for tolerances and tooling instructions.
• Ability to read blueprints and bills of materials.
• Proficient in using precision measuring instruments.
• Strong basic math and shop arithmetic skills.
• Able to operate a variety of metalworking equipment safely.
• Willingness to work long hours when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Study prints and determine operation sequence based on specifications.
• Layout dimensions on parts per prints.
• Set up and operate machinery to cut shape or form metal to specifications.
• Learn and operate drills, grinders, mills, lathes, forklifts, overhead hoists and other equipment as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
