Job summary

The Bradbury Co., Inc. located in Moundridge, KS, seeks an experienced manual machinist to operate a variety of machinery and process workpieces to print specifications.

The position requires study of prints, layout of dimensions, setup and operation of metalworking equipment, and adherence to tooling instructions. Responsibilities include following oral and written instructions, using precision measuring instruments, and working independently or with others while maintaining safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Proficient with precision measuring instruments and blueprints.
• Comfort with reading and interpreting job orders and tooling instructions.
• Able to operate a wide range of metalworking tools.
• Follows oral and written instructions and safety procedures.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
• Lifts up to 50 lbs as required.

Responsibilities

• Study prints and job orders to determine product specs, dimensions, tolerances, and tooling instructions.
• Layout dimensions on parts per prints.
• Set up and operate machinery to cut shape or form metal to specifications.
• May learn and operate drills, grinders, mills, lathes, forklifts, overhead hoists and related equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
