Job summary

Tyson Foods in Tecumseh, Nebraska seeks a Training Specialist to conduct safety and forklift training and to continually improve classroom orientation programs. The role includes ensuring new Team Member documentation is completed on time and filed properly, coordinating interpreter support as needed, and guiding new hires through the qualification process.

The position requires strong presentation and organizational skills, plus comfort presenting to large groups.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong organizational skills are essential.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, plus presentation skills.
• Comfortable presenting material to large groups.
• Knowledge of the work area is preferred.
• Previous training or production experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• conduct safety and forklift training and continually improve classroom orientation programs
• ensure all new Team Member documentation is completed in a timely manner and submitted to their file
• annual training for plant employees and on the job training for Employees. Other duties include: assess the need for interpreters in various departments for communications clarity and coordinate the assistance of the interpreter
• assist in acclimating new Team Members in and around the confines of the facility and with the qualification process
• other duties as assigned
