Job summary

Amrize is seeking a 2nd Shift Utility Operator in Rockville, MD to support quarry production with heavy equipment operation, material handling, and daily maintenance. The role emphasizes safety, inspections, and adherence to environmental standards in a fast-paced work setting located at the Rockville Quarry.

The ideal candidate will have high school diploma or equivalent and hands-on experience with wheel loaders and dozers, plus a solid understanding of safe heavy equipment operation.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience operating heavy equipment in industrial settings preferred.
Hands-on experience with wheel loaders and dozers is a plus.

Responsibilities

Operate heavy equipment (wheel loaders and dozers) to support quarry production and site maintenance.
Safely load and transport aggregate materials throughout the quarry and processing areas.
Perform daily pre- and post-operation inspections and report issues to supervision.
Assist with general quarry labor and maintenance tasks as needed.
Use hand and power tools for routine maintenance and minor repairs.
