Job summary

Amrize is seeking a 2nd Shift Utility Operator to support the Rockville, MD Quarry. The role involves operating heavy equipment, performing inspections, and assisting with maintenance to ensure safe, efficient quarry operations.

Ideal candidates have experience with heavy equipment in an industrial setting, particularly wheel loaders and dozers, and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork in outdoor environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience operating heavy equipment in an industrial or recycling environment.
• Hands-on experience with wheel loaders and dozers.
• Experience in a quarry, aggregate, construction, mining, or similar industrial environment.
• Strong understanding of safe heavy equipment operation and the ability to perform routine equipment inspections.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment to support quarry production and material handling.
• Load, move, and transport aggregate materials safely.
• Perform daily pre- and post-operation inspections and report issues.
• Assist with maintenance and troubleshooting under supervision.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and ensure safety compliance.
