Job summary

Amrize is hiring for a 2nd Shift Utility Operator at our Rockville, MD Quarry to run heavy equipment and support production. The role requires performing inspections, basic maintenance, and coordinating with supervisors to ensure safe, efficient operations.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience operating heavy equipment in industrial or recycling environments.
Hand-on experience with wheel loaders and dozers preferred.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks outdoors.

Responsibilities

Operate heavy equipment such as wheel loaders and dozers to support quarry production.
Safely load, move, and transport aggregate materials within the quarry.
Perform daily pre- and post-operation inspections and report safety concerns.
Assist with general quarry labor and maintenance activities.
Support maintenance with basic repairs and troubleshooting.
