Job summary

MIRATECH in Prior Lake, MN is seeking a 2nd Shift Supervisor to lead a small team on the 2nd shift and ensure efficient, high‑quality production. This role oversees daily production activities, quality checks, safety protocols, and timely communication with plant leadership.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong leadership, effective communication, and the ability to manage schedules, training, and onboarding while upholding safety and productivity standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret production drawings.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Basic computer skills: email, Word, Excel.
• Experience with continuous improvement is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to the shop floor team.
• Conduct daily team huddles and communicate goals, performance expectations, safety updates and company updates.
• Manage team schedules and overtime to ensure coverage.
• Approve timecards for payroll.
• Participate in daily plant leadership huddles for cascading communication.
• Oversee daily production activities to meet schedules and targets.
• Coordinate with plant leadership to align shop floor activities with the production schedule.
• Ensure all products meet or exceed quality standards and work with QC to address issues.
• Enforce safety protocols and promote a safe working environment; conduct weekly safety observations.
• Assist in onboarding and training of new employees.
