Job summary

Molex in Hudson, WI is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a manufacturing team on 2nd shift. You will drive operational excellence, ensure safety and quality, and mentor technicians and associates in a fast-paced environment.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to implement improvements, monitor KPIs, and optimize shift performance while maintaining compliance and cost control.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience working in a manufacturing or technical environment.
• 1+ year of leadership or management experience.
• Demonstrated experience in analyzing key manufacturing metrics and applying standardized production processes in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage shift schedules to coordinate manufacturing activities effectively.
• Monitor production KPIs and adjust staffing or workflow to meet targets without compromising quality or safety.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to resolve issues and implement process improvements.
• Direct and oversee employee activities, including approval of work schedules, overtime, and vacation requests.
• Review and approve work instructions; ensure all employees receive adequate training on procedures and techniques.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of direct reports; provide recognition, coaching, performance evaluations, and corrective counseling as necessary.
• Ensure the safe and proper operation of machines and equipment.
• Develop, update, and enforce standard work practices to maintain compliance.
• Analyze production and operational reports to address and resolve manufacturing and maintenance issues efficiently, minimizing costs and delays.
• Lead initiatives for continuous improvement, cost reduction, quality enhancement, and lean manufacturing practices.
