Job summary

METAL CRAFT, Elk River, MN, is hiring a Production Supervisor (2nd shift) to optimize production, quality, and efficiency across our precision machining operations. This hands-on leader will develop a skilled team, uphold safety standards, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

The role reports to the manufacturing leadership and requires 3+ years of supervisory manufacturing experience, an associate degree or equivalent, and strong problem-solving and communication

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing supervision preferred.
• Machine shop experience strongly desired.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Plan daily departmental operations, assign tasks, authorize overtime, and control costs and waste.
• Ensure ISO quality standards and procedures are followed.
• Lead production in assigned areas and communicate with shifts.
• Review timecards and ensure correct hours recorded.
• Train and develop employees, implement training plans, and conduct performance reviews.
• Maintain efficiency via 5S and lean methods.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality to improve processes/quality.
• Organize tasks and communicate schedules and production runs.
