Job summary

METAL CRAFT, Elk River, MN, is seeking a Production Supervisor on 2nd shift to optimize production, quality, and efficiency. This hands-on leader will develop a trained team, uphold safety standards, and drive continuous improvement across departments.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• 3–5 years of relevant manufacturing experience.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Manufacturing execution expertise desired.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan daily departmental operations, assign tasks, authorize overtime, and control costs and waste.
• Ensure compliance to ISO quality standards and procedures.
• Lead production in assigned areas and coordinate with other shifts.
• Review timecards to ensure accurate hours worked.
• Train and develop employees; conduct performance reviews and coaching.
• Maintain efficiency via 5S and lean methods.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality to drive process improvements.
• Organize tasks and communicate schedules and production runs.
