Job summary

METAL CRAFT, located in Elk River, MN, is seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor (2nd shift) to optimize production, quality, and efficiency across our manufacturing operations. This full-time role requires leading a trained team, maintaining safety-focused standards, and staying aligned with ISO quality processes.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
• Machine shop experience strongly desired.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Manufacturing execution expertise.
• Team development and leadership skills.
• Strong understanding of company policies and procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Strong multitasking and prioritization abilities.
• Adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
• Independent problem-solving and sound decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan daily departmental operations, assign tasks to staff, authorize overtime when necessary, and controls costs and product waste.
• Ensures ISO quality standards and process procedures are maintained and adhere to decision matrix.
• Lead production in the assigned areas and communicate with production personnel on other shifts.
• Review timecards to ensure employees working hours are correctly recorded and completed.
• Train and develop employees, including creating training plans and conducting performance reviews.
• Maintain maximum efficiency through 5S and lean methods.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality to drive improvements and CAPAs.
• Organize tasks and communicate schedules and production runs.
• Attend tier meetings and ensure health and safety procedures are followed.
• Oversee manufacturing across departments to optimize flow and hiring plans.
