Job summary

Pilgrim’s in Kentucky seeks a Production Supervisor for 1st shift to ensure adherence to procedures, maximize productivity, and meet customer specifications. You will oversee reporting for your area and drive safety, quality, and cost efficiency.

The role requires leadership of 20+ staff, strong communication, and ability to coordinate manpower, materials, and equipment across the line while maintaining schedule commitments and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
• Experience supervising and coordinating teams of 20+ employees.
• Experience in poultry/food industry is a plus.
• Strong written and oral communication.
• Ability to make independent decisions.
• Proficiency with basic computer tools.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Must be able to work assigned hours/days, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Trains and develops employees to achieve maximum quality and productivity.
• Plans and schedules manpower, materials, products and machines to maximize efficiency while following policies.
• Manages employee performance with feedback, positive or corrective.
• Promotes goodwill through proactive communication and involvement.
• Investigates quality improvements, cost reductions, and maintenance with cross‑department collaboration.
• Promotes safety in the work area.
