Job summary

Monroe Truck Equipment, an Aebi Schmidt brand in Monroe, WI, seeks a capable Second Shift Manager to coordinate fabrication, welding, painting, maintenance and assembly under the direction of shift and manufacturing leadership.

In this role you will allocate resources, train staff, optimize workflows and drive continuous improvement while upholding quality and safety standards. The right candidate will mentor teams, troubleshoot shop floor issues, and contribute to meeting production schedules.

Qualifications

• Monitor performance and take corrective actions as needed.
• Knowledge of wire and filler material applications for various steel alloys, aluminum, and exotic materials.
• Understand fixturing and weld setup parameters (amps, volts, etc.).
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to understand and operate safety equipment in the area.
• Vision abilities required: close, peripheral, depth perception.
• Ability to use measuring devices.

Responsibilities

• Allocate resources, provide feedback, and ensure organized production.
• Assign tasks, train personnel to support future growth.
• Determine work procedures, prepare schedules, and expedite workflow.
• Issue written and oral instructions.
• Assign duties and inspect work for conformance to policies.
• Troubleshoot shop floor issues with supervisors and teams to keep projects moving.
