Job summary

Monroe Truck Equipment, an Aebi Schmidt brand located in Monroe WI, is seeking a Second Shift Manager to coordinate and manage the second shift operations across Fabrication, Kitting, Weld, Wash, Paint, Maintenance, Warehouse and Assembly. The role reports to First Shift Management and Directors within manufacturing.

This position requires strong leadership, problem solving and hands-on oversight to ensure production plans meet quality and schedule commitments on a fast-paced shop floor.

Qualifications

• Monitor and improve the performance of the shift team and processes.
• Knowledge of wire and filler material applications for various steel alloys and aluminum.
• Understand fixturing and weld setup parameters (amps, volts, etc.).
• Define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
• Operate all safety equipment in the area as required.
• Use measuring devices for precision and quality checks.

Responsibilities

• Allocates resources, provides feedback, and ensures organized production.
• Assign tasks, assist, and train personnel to support growth.
• Determine work procedures, prepare schedules and expedite workflow.
• Issue written and oral instructions to the team.
• Assign duties and inspect work for quality and policy conformance.
• Troubleshoot shop floor issues and coordinate with supervisors to keep projects moving.
• Communicate across multiple departments to align goals.
• Demonstrate leadership behaviors that reflect company values.
• Perform inspections per company and customer standards.
