Job summary

Belcan is seeking a Production Lead in Simi Valley, CA, for 2nd shift (M-F, 1:30pm-10:00pm). The role requires 3-5 years of experience in planning, scheduling, and leading production cycles in mechanical/electromechanical assembly settings. Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills are essential.

The position involves mentoring staff, ensuring safety compliance, monitoring equipment, and analyzing data to meet targets. Nights and weekends may be required as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning, scheduling and monitoring production cycles.
• Ability to lead production activities and troubleshoot issues.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interpret safety and manufacturing instructions.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and monitor the production cycle following instructions.
• Oversee daily production operations and ensure schedules and quality standards.
• Train and mentor manufacturing staff on practices and safety.
• Monitor equipment for malfunctions and arrange maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Enforce policies and regulatory safety standards.
• Analyze production data and adjust processes to meet targets.
• Coordinate movement of production to meet area requirements.
• Record production time and quantity data at the cell.
• Perform complex precision assembly per instructions.
• Inspect work for correctness according to drawings.
