Job summary

Belcan is seeking a Senior Process Engineer, Mechanical Assembly (Night Shift) to serve as the senior authority on the production floor during overnight hours. You will own line performance, lead a team of technicians, and ensure operational continuity in a high-complexity, automated environment.

You will analyze OEE, yield, and cycle times, mentor staff, and communicate issues to day shift. The role requires autonomy, strong mechanical intuition, and a data-driven mindset to drive improvements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 4–7+ years in manufacturing/industrial operations.
• Night shift leadership experience preferred.
• Familiarity with OEE and downtime metrics.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior technical authority on the floor during overnight hours.
• Mentor night shift technicians and set daily priorities.
• Track OEE, yield, and cycle times to identify bottlenecks and drive improvements.
• Apply strong mechanical intuition to assess equipment and process issues on the fly.
• Document and communicate overnight issues to day-shift teams for continuity.
• Initiate tactical CI projects to reduce waste and improve machine reliability across shifts.
• Identify usability challenges and provide actionable design feedback to engineering.
