Job summary

HM Electronics in Carlsbad, CA is seeking a temporary Team Lead for the 2nd shift (2:30pm–11:00pm) to coordinate daily operations, guide a production team, and uphold Lean practices. Responsibilities include training staff, managing workflow, maintaining safety and 7S standards, and ensuring accuracy of materials and documents.

Minimum HS diploma; 3+ years in manufacturing; competitive hourly pay with differential and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to train others on processes.

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Understanding of Lean manufacturing principles.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor daily operations of the unit.
• Train unit personnel on methods and procedures and process flow.
• Manage production within work cell and assign work to assemblers/testers.
• Track production quantity and line stops via electronic production board.
• Maintain 7S housekeeping and safety standards and inventory accuracy.
• Support new product integration to the manufacturing floor.
