Job summary

Peet’s Coffee is seeking a Packaging Technician (Machine Operator) in Minnesota for 2nd shift, 3:30pm–12:00am. You will set up and operate grinding and packaging equipment to meet the daily production schedule while following GMPs and safety standards.

The role emphasizes quality checks, documentation, and teamwork with maintenance, production, and quality partners; opportunities for training, growth, and employee perks like free coffee, health coverage, and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• 1 year of production experience as a machine technician or machine operator.
• Basic math, reading, and writing skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed, including Saturdays.
• Ability to uphold and follow safety, food safety, and production quality standards.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, thoroughness and reliability.
• Works well as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility, accountability, and a willingness to assist others as needed.
• Maintains a positive attitude and contributes to a respectful, collaborative, and supportive work environment.
• Physical demands include standing 8 hours, lifting, bending, and occasional heavy lifting up to 30 lbs; etc.

Responsibilities

• Operate grinding and/or packaging equipment to process coffee according to the daily production schedule.
• Follow all workplace safety, food safety, and quality standards, including GMPs and standard operating procedures.
• Perform quality checks, complete required production and quality records, and ensure product meets specifications.
• Monitor equipment performance and communicate safety, quality, or production issues to leadership; report equipment issues to Maintenance/Engineering.
• Support productivity and efficiency while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Assist with training and guiding team members and temporary workers at the workstation as needed.
