Job summary

Opella Consumer Health is seeking a Packaging Supervisor on the 2nd shift (2:30pm – 11:00pm) in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Lead day-to-day packaging operations, ensuring safety, quality, and production targets while supervising 15–20 frontline employees and coordinating staffing and workflow.

You will collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, HSE and other functions to minimize downtime and drive continuous improvement, review batch records, train staff, and enforce SOPs and GMP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• At least two years of supervisory/lead experience in manufacturing.
• Familiarity with production automation systems (e.g., SAP) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily packaging operations to meet production targets while ensuring safety, quality, and compliance.
• Supervise and develop frontline employees (15–20 direct reports) with coaching and performance reviews.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs, GMP, and company policies; coordinate staffing and workflow.
• Train staff, support cross-training, and drive continuous improvement in productivity and safety.
• Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, HSE, and People & Culture to minimize downtime.

Education

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field

Two years supervisory or lead experience in manufacturing
