Job summary

Opella is seeking a Packaging Technician in Chattanooga to operate and maintain packaging lines, from tube fillers to bottle fillers, ensuring safety, quality and compliance with FDA and cGMP.

You will set up equipment, troubleshoot, document fill levels and support continuous improvement, working on 2nd shift 2:30pm–11:00pm in a team that values precision, accountability and a simple, outcome-focused culture.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in manufacturing and operating high-speed packaging or assembly equipment.
• Proficient in operating various packaging machinery and tools.
• Physical ability to lift 25-60 pounds; stand or walk for extended periods.
• Willing to train, comply with dress code, and work around dust and machinery hazards.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain production lines with focus on safety, quality and output.
• Disassemble/reassemble machinery as needed and set up lines for products.
• Provide packaging supplies to maintain smooth operations.
• Monitor product quality and reject non-conforming materials per FDA/cGMP.
• Document fill levels and follow SOPs, SPIs and other procedures.
