Job summary

O’Neal Steel in Waterloo, IA is seeking an Operations Supervisor for the 2nd shift to lead warehouse, production scheduling and shipping activities. You will ensure on-time delivery, maintain safety standards and manage staff performance in a fast-paced steel processing environment.

The role requires supervisory experience, Lean manufacturing knowledge and strong Excel skills. Overtime, background check, and a comprehensive benefits package are part of the job offer.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience in manufacturing or warehouse/distribution.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Experience with safety training and scheduling/trucking operations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools.
• Valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise warehouse and delivery employees, manage schedules and payroll.
• Coordinate production work schedules and cross-train staff.
• Maintain quality standards and meet delivery dates.
• Lead safety and housekeeping improvements using 5-S and Visual Factory.
• Prepare production schedules and monitor timely completion.
• Collaborate with multiple departments to optimize workflow.
• Support maintenance planning to maximize uptime.
