Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is seeking a Mechanical Trade Team Leader for the 2nd shift in Orion, MI. You will lead a hands‑on mechanical maintenance team, coordinate daily work, and ensure reliable operation of building systems and process equipment.

The role emphasizes mentoring mechanics, troubleshooting HVAC/R, pumps, motors, and hydraulics while aligning with safety and client scorecard metrics. On‑site, with opportunities to grow within JLL.

Qualifications

• Journeyman certification in HVAC, Electrical, Machine Repair, or Mechanical craft areas.
• 3–5 years of facility maintenance experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.
• Strong hands‑on experience with pumps, motors, hydraulics, and HVAC/R systems.
• Ability to coordinate work activities, provide technical guidance, and communicate effectively with team members and management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with detail‑oriented approach.
• Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, work on ladders, and work in various environmental conditions.
• Availability to work overtime, weekends, and pre/post scheduled hours as needed.
• Available for call‑in work 24 hours per day and able to work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate mechanical maintenance team activities.
• Maintain and repair manufacturing process equipment and control systems.
• Execute and supervise preventative and predictive maintenance on building systems and mechanical equipment.
• Maintain and repair HVAC/R systems including temperature control and air quality.
• Service and troubleshoot pumps, motors, hydraulics, and meters with calibration.
• Serve as technical point of contact for facility and operations managers.
• Mentor and train mechanics to enhance team capabilities and safety compliance.
