Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated in Orion, MI is seeking an Electrician for the 2nd shift to maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical systems across large manufacturing facilities. The role emphasizes reliability, safety, and timely response to facility needs, with collaboration among maintenance teams and client operations.

You will read blueprints, work with CMMS, plan preventive maintenance, and handle power distribution equipment like panels, switchgear, VFDs and PLCs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or state equivalent required.
• Two years of electrical trade schooling or equivalent training/apprenticeship.
• Strong knowledge of electrical/instrumentation/control systems in industrial or manufacturing environments.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematic drawings.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards and local electrical codes.
• Must be able to operate electric hand tools, ladders, and lift heavy loads.
• Able to work in confined spaces and on building roofs.
• Available for call-in work 24 hours/day; overtime, weekends, and variable hours.
• Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical/instrumentation/control systems in large facilities.
• Plan and execute installation and maintenance of electrical apparatus and power distribution systems.
• Diagnose wiring issues from blueprints and schematics.
• Document work in CMMS with hours and completion details.
• Coordinate with clients and maintenance staff to ensure safe task execution.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area and adhere to safety rules.
