Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated in Orion, MI, is seeking a Maintenance Helper for 1st Shift to support maintenance and grounds teams across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and related systems. The role emphasizes hands-on learning, safety, and collaboration with skilled tradespeople to keep manufacturing facilities running smoothly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2-3 years of related work experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn maintenance trades.
• Ability to obtain certification to operate powered vehicular equipment.
• Ability to read maintenance manuals and wiring diagrams.
• Physical ability to sit, stand, bend, lift up to 49 pounds, and perform daily duties.
• Able to work in all weather conditions and tolerate hazards.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and extra hours.

Responsibilities

• Assist maintenance and grounds personnel in repair and installation of facility-related items and systems.
• Perform painting tasks and grounds-related functions to maintain facilities.
• Install system components and equipment to keep facilities safe and operational.
• Clean and repair gutters, drains, and related systems for proper drainage.
• Safely operate and maintain shop tools and powered equipment.
• Request equipment and supplies to maintain inventory.
• Respond to emergency situations to support safety.
