Job summary

Rotating Machinery Services, Inc. is seeking a 2nd Shift Mechanic's Assistant/Blaster for our Bethlehem, PA shop. This role performs mechanical support tasks on turbomachinery components, including blasting, cleaning, painting, and assembling parts under supervision.

The candidate should have at least two years in an industrial setting, with experience in component assembly and dynamic balancing preferred. A High School Diploma or GED is required, and overtime/weekend work is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in an industrial or machine shop setting preferred.
• Minimum two years in component assembly and dynamic balancing preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to safety policies.
• Disassemble rotate equipment and assist in prepping parts for balance and coatings.
• Perform blasting, cleaning, and painting of rotating equipment parts as trained.
• Assist with setup and changeovers on shop equipment.
• Support evening shift technicians with parts movement and logistic needs.
• Operate basic shop equipment and balance machines under supervision.
