Job summary

Leidos Defense Systems Manufacturing in Colorado Springs seeks a Manufacturing Engineer for the 2nd shift to optimize production across the full build flow. You will work with Solumina MES, maintain mBOMs, and coordinate with Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Operations Leads to meet program goals.

The role requires a mechanical/industrial engineering background, CNC experience, GD&T, and hands-on MES/ERP familiarity, with a US citizenship and Secret clearance being preferred for DoD programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial, or Industrial and Systems Engineering with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Collaborative engineering environment experience.
• Experience with CNC milling and turning.
• Understanding of GD&T and ISO9001/AS9100 quality systems.
• Proficient with MRP/ERP/MES software and related data management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and optimize production from raw materials to finished products.
• Use MES software (Solumina) to track, monitor, and control processes.
• Maintain Manufacturing BOMs and run times in Solumina.
• Plan production flow with MRP, manage changes, and assign resources.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Inventory Control.
