Job summary

Leidos Defense Systems Manufacturing seeks a Manufacturing Engineer for 2nd shift (2PM-12AM) at the Colorado Springs facility. You will oversee production, optimize processes, and ensure mBOMs and routings are accurate while coordinating with Planning, QA, and Operations.

This role supports DoD programs, requires a Secret Clearance, and focuses on continuous improvement, tool design, and data management across MES/ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial or Industrial and Systems Engineering with 4+ years of applicable experience.
• Ability to work in a collaborative engineering environment with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Experience with CNC Mill and Lathe machining.
• Proficiency in GD&T and ISO9001/AS9100 processes.
• Experience with MRP and ERP/PLM/MES systems such as Solumina, Windchill, Deltek Costpoint.

Responsibilities

• Transform raw materials into finished products efficiently and with quality.
• Use Solumina MES to implement, track, and control manufacturing processes.
• Create and maintain Manufacturing BOMs and routings.
• Plan production flow, manage change, and ensure on-time work orders.
• Identify and execute continuous improvement projects and risk reductions.
• Coordinate with Engineering, QA, Operations Leads, and Inventory Control.
• Manage configuration and data controls for engineering changes.
