Job summary

Leidos Defense Systems Manufacturing seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to join the Colorado Manufacturing team supporting DoD programs. This Senior Engineer role focuses on manufacturing activities at CMF, coordinating with engineering and operations to ensure efficient production from raw materials to finished products.

The position requires CNC/machining, MES (Solumina), MRP/ERP/PLM/MES systems, GD&T, and SolidWorks proficiency.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Industrial and Systems Engineering with minimum 4 years of applicable experience.
Capable of collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams.
Experience with CNC Mill and Lathe machining.
Six years of Manufacturing, Assembly & Integration experience with machining or mechanical components.
Experience with MRP and ERP/PLM/MES systems.
Proficient understanding of GD&T.
Experience with ISO9001/AS9100 processes.
Experience with contactless structured blue light scanning.
Intermediate proficiency with SolidWorks.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
US Citizen and able to obtain/maintain Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

Implement procedures to transform raw materials into finished products efficiently.
Use MES software (Solumina) to monitor and control manufacturing processes.
Maintain Manufacturing Bill of Materials (mBOMs) and routings in Solumina.
Plan and manage production flow through MRP system; handle change management.
Coordinate production workflow and resources to meet goals.
Resolve problems related to configuration changes and material issues.
Oversee and optimize production processes for efficiency and quality.
Collaborate with Engineering, Quality Assurance and Inventory Control.
Expedite jobs and manage material shortages.
Maintain ISO9001/AS9100 processes within the department.
