Job summary

Leidos Defense Systems Manufacturing in Colorado Springs is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our stand-alone facility supporting Defense Programs. You will oversee and optimize the production process from raw materials to finished products, ensuring efficiency and quality, and work closely with Engineering, QA, and Operations Leads.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial, or Industrial and Systems Engineering with 2+ years of related experience; CNC machining, GD&T,

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial, or ISE with 2+ years of experience.
• Experience with CNC milling/lathe machining.
• Experience with MRP and ERP/PLM/MES systems.
• Proficient understanding of GD&T.
• US citizen with ability to obtain/maintain Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and optimize production from raw materials to finished products.
• Collaborate with Engineering, QA, and Operations Leads.
• Manage manufacturing processes, tooling, and work instructions.
• Coordinate with other sites to ensure BOMs and routings are up to date.
• Drive continuous improvement and risk reduction in production.
