Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands' Streetsboro, OH facility is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to support manufacturing operations. You will diagnose problems, perform repairs, and improve equipment reliability to keep production running smoothly.

You will apply electrical, mechanical, automation, and safety skills in a fast-paced environment while following Lockout/Tagout procedures and safety policies. This role offers opportunities to own issues from diagnosis to prevention.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Strong troubleshooting knowledge in PLC and computer-controlled equipment.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, technical diagrams, and equipment documentation.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing automated manufacturing equipment.
• Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis skills.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of assignments, and collaborate with a team.
• Commitment to workplace safety.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automated manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot PC/PLC-controlled equipment, sensors, drives, and other industrial control systems.
• Use electrical schematics, technical documentation, and hands-on diagnostic skills to identify root causes and restore equipment to operation.
• Respond to equipment issues and production downtime with urgency to minimize disruptions and maintain plant productivity.
• Take ownership of problems from initial diagnosis through repair, follow-up, and prevention of future failures.
• Perform preventive maintenance on critical production equipment, including welders, cutting systems, conveyors, and automated assembly equipment.
• Identify early signs of wear and potential equipment failure; help develop and execute preventive maintenance procedures and schedules.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and contribute to continuous improvement efforts that strengthen equipment reliability and uptime.
• Work with production, engineering, and plant leadership to resolve equipment challenges and improve operational performance.
• Prioritize work based on production needs while maintaining a strong focus on quality and safety.
