Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician for a 3rd shift role in Ohio. You will diagnose, repair, and prevent equipment failures across mechanical, electrical, and automated systems to keep all production lines running smoothly.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment, working with OEMs, and maintaining safety and reliability while supporting plant productivity and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment or equivalent experience in installation, setup, and service of computer-controlled equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting knowledge in PLCs, electrical/electronic systems, pneumatics, and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automated manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot PC/PLC-controlled equipment, sensors, drives, and other industrial control systems.
• Read electrical schematics and technical diagrams to identify root causes and restore operation.
• Respond to downtime with urgency to minimize disruptions and maintain plant productivity.
• Coordinate with OEM support for complex repairs and ownership from diagnosis to prevention.
