Job summary

McWane Plant and Industrial (MPI) is seeking an experienced Machine Operator to join our fabrication and machining operation. The operator measures, threads, and fixtures flange fits on ductile or steel pipe, using lathes, threaders, and cranes to move pipe.

You will work 3:00PM–12:00AM, handle 3”–6” pipes from 4 inches to 18 feet, and maintain safety, quality, and output targets while wearing required PPE.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience with machinery is desirable.
• Able to read a tape measure and micrometer.
• Willing to work overtime and extended hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Measure, thread, adjust flange fit for pipe 3”–6” in diameter.
• Operate lathes and threaders and move pipe with a crane.
• Verify thread depth and taper measurements; ensure flange screws properly.
• Maintain safe work area and adhere to PPE requirements; promote safety culture.
