Job summary

McWane Plant and Industrial in Wethersfield, CT is seeking an experienced Machine Operator I for the 2nd shift. The operator will measure, thread, adjust flange fit, and face ducts on pipe using manual tools and machinery, including lathes and threaders, with crane-assisted movement as needed.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and prior machinery experience. Candidates should be comfortable with measuring tools and PPE; overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure personal safety and the safety of team members.
• Operate and set up machines to measure, thread, adjust flange fit and facing.
• Use lathes, threaders, and cranes to move and machine pipe.
• Read tape measures and micrometers; verify measurements and accuracy.
• Maintain cleanliness and adhere to PPE and safety protocols.
