Job summary

McWane Plant and Industrial is seeking an experienced Machine Operator I to join our Job Shop Fabrication and Machining operation. The operator will measure, thread, adjust flange fit, and face the flange on pipe using lathes and threaders, and will operate cranes to move pipe between machining centers.

Shift is 3:00PM to 12:00AM, with a starting pay rate of $20.81 per hour and a 24-month wage progression; safety and teamwork are emphasized within the McWane Way culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent desired.
• Previous experience with machinery is desired.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring personal safety and the safety of your team members.
• Proactively promotes the McWane Way principles.
• Identify fabrication requirements for each piece of pipe.
• Place pipe in machine, center the pipe, and tighten for work.
• After the threads are cut the operator tests the flange to make sure it screws onto the pipe properly.
• Operator must be able to operate a forklift and obtain certification.
