McWane Plant & Industrial (MPI) is seeking an experienced Machine Operator to join our Job Shop Fabrication and Machining operation in Wethersfield, CT. The Operator is responsible for measuring, threading, adjusting flange fit, and facing the flange on ductile or steel pipe using manual machine tools and cranes.

The role requires operating lathes and threaders, moving pipe between centers, and ensuring quality with proper measurements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent desired.
• Previous experience with machinery is desired.
• Good math and measurement reading skills.

Responsibilities

• Measure and thread pipe to machined flange.
• Operate lathes, threaders, and crane to move pipe between operations.
• Verify thread depth, taper, and flange fit for proper assembly.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness in the work area.
